How often do you have the chance to read a choose your own path book in education?

Why should I read Educator Reflection Tips?

How often do you stop and think on your instructional practice? I mean really take a hard look at the following:

  • What strategies did you use in your last lesson?
  • Why did you choose the strategies? What data did you use?
  • Was the lesson successful? What evidence do you have to support your answer?
  • If you were to teach this lesson again, what would you do differently?
  • If you’re lesson was successful, would you be able to duplicate the results?

In Volume I of the Educator Reflection Tips series, you will embark on a contemplative journey to support you with the adopting actions to help you think critically about your actions, behaviors, and beliefs.  You will begin to analyze how each impact your instructional practice and the academic progress of your students. I want to be honest with you. Self-reflection is not an easy process, but it is a journey that you will begin to weave into your daily routine automatically after you finish this book. Your journey towards deepening your outlook on teaching and learning begins today.

What is Reflective Thinking?

Reflective thinking is an approach that will give you real-time feedback on your teaching style, practice, and culture of your classroom. It allows you to see yourself through the eyes of your students (page 11-12). As the landscape of teaching and learning continues to change,

Come Reflect with Me!!

The Educator Reflection Tips series was created for teachers just like you to provide you with the autonomy to control how, when, and where you learn.
